Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 75-300mm f/4.8-6.7
In January 2013, Olympus released an update for the 75-300mm lens to f/4.8 - 6.7 ED Zuiko Digital. However, this second version does not seem to make many changes to the lens. Observing only the technical specifications, the only significant modification seems to be the addition of a 'zero' coating on the terminal element that minimizes the reflections. Aesthetically, however, the lens was redesigned by simply adding a black finish. The lens is designed to adapt to the Micro Four Thirds support and therefore allows the user a range of focal lengths equivalent from 150mm to 600mm. The lens is not constant opening, since by increasing the focal, the opening is reduced, however remaining to f/22 on the minimum. 75-300 f/4.8 - 6.7 II offers excellent results in the broadest part of its focal spectrum. Even using an opening at 75mm to f/4.8, the lens produces sharp images from one corner to the other and the same goes for 100mm to f/5.1 From 150mm up, the resolution begins to suffer a bit, but with openings to f/5.6, the central area of the image is perfectly clear. At 200 and 300mm the lens offers higher performance to the average, the center is quite clear with the remarkably softened corners. At Stop f/11 it can help in the 200mm setting, but at 300 there is no significant improvement. The Olympus 75-300 f/4.8 - 6.7 has a very fast autofocus, scrolling through the entire range of focus in less than a second. Adopt the new MSC design that makes the ideal tool for use in fixed and video applications. The front element does not rotate during the focus, facilitating the use to those who use polarized lenses.
