Leica Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 ASPH
The Leica Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 ASPH is a standard lens characterized by a high-level structure and design. Thanks to the high technology used for the design and creation of this model, it ensures a series of interesting functions for the creation of high-level photos.
The main technical feature of the Leica Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 ASPH lens is that of having a natural viewing angle. This is accompanied by a high degree of sensitivity for photos taken in natural light that require selective focusing. The focal optics is 50 mm while the angle of view has the value of 46.7°. Furthermore, as can easily be understood from the name, the maximum aperture is f/1.4.
At maximum aperture or using a minimum focusing distance this lens ensures high contrast and very high resolution images. This is a possibility guaranteed by the use of special glasses that ensure particular refraction properties, capable of maximizing the contrasts of fire and color.
The high technical characteristics are accompanied by an elegant and refined design. The finish is matte black and is inspired by a 1959 model from which it incorporates some particular elements that enrich its appearance. These include the characteristic grooves on the aperture ring and the particular edge on the focus ring. Another particular element that characterizes the design of the lens is the touch of red on the distance scale. Focusing is manual only.
