The Canon EF-M 28mm f/3.5 Macro IS STM is a macro lens suitable only for APSC format cameras in production since 2016. It is a medium-low range lens that manages to capture sharp images and has no distortions or aberrations chromatic ones worthy of mentioning. Focusing is automatic and occurs via a non-ultrasonic AF motor which is quite precise and silent, providing good support. The image stabilization is present and of good effectiveness, furthermore the lens hood is supplied. This lens is equipped with front lighting, guaranteeing an additional advantage in order to obtain shots with greater clarity. The Canon EF-M 28mm f/3.5 Macro IS STM, in addition to being a good macro, also lends itself to other genres such as landscape or portraiture without losing quality. The minimum focusing distance is just 9 centimetres, excellent for close ups. The small size and weight make it comfortable to use even for long sessions. Using freehand super macro may be difficult initially but with a little practice this "problem" is eliminated. The Canon EF-M 28mm f/3.5 Macro IS STM is suitable for photographers who love this type of photo but we must also consider that the versatility of this lens makes it good for many genres. The cost is quite low, it could be a good investment for trying close-up shots.
