Nikon AF-S 20mm f/1.8 G ED
The Nikon AF-S 20mm f/1.8 G ED is a wide-angle lens compatible with FF and APSC format cameras produced by the Japanese company since 2014. Focusing is automatic and occurs via an ultrasonic AF motor, there is no camera stabilization. 'image. One of the peculiarities of wide-angle lenses is the field opening which makes the difference between a wide angle lens or vice versa. For this lens the aperture is 94.5 degrees which makes it pushed but not to excess. The minimum focusing distance is 20 centimetres, also acting as a good macro, the lens hood is supplied. Sharpness is one of the strong points of these supports, the images are almost excellent, without defects that can cause annoyance. The colors are faithful and the distortion, even if present as in almost all wide-angle lenses, does not affect the final quality of the photo. The 1.8 aperture allows you to take very bright shots with good sharpness and, at no aperture, image defects were found. The only flaw could be that it is built with slightly plastic materials but this does not affect the resistance of the lens. The weight and dimensions are slightly higher than others in the same category.
The Nikon AF-S 20mm f/1.8 G ED is a lens suitable for photographers looking for a good-performing wide-angle lens, capable of providing excellent images and which can lend itself to different photographic genres. The cost may be relatively high but the investment is fully worth it once you look at the images. It is suitable for both professionals and amateurs and is simple and practical to use.
