Sigma AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG APO Macro
the Sigma AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG APO Macro lens is a telephoto lens for the FF and APS-C format, which Sigma put into production in 2007 and only recently removed from the market in 2019, thus effectively sending it out of production. Now only available as a used item, it is a lens with focusing made possible thanks to the non-ultrasonic lens AF Motor, and does not feature any image stabilizer. In terms of compatibility, it works with different mounts, the Canon EF with fullframe and APS-C Canon EF SLRs, the Nikon EF with fullframe and APS-C Nikon SLRs, the Sony A-mount with fullframe and APS-C SLRs Sony A-mount, the Pentax with fullframe reflex and APS-C Pentax and the Sigma SA with reflex and fullframe mirrorless APS-C Sigma SA-mount. The Sigma AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG APO Macro has an angle of view of 34.4 - 8.3° and a nine-blade diaphragm. It has a minimum focusing distance of 0.95 meters and a reproduction ratio of 0.25x. It is not equipped with internal AF and Full Time MF, and its weight stands at 530 grams for important dimensions of 79x119 mm. The diameter of the filters is 58mm. Distinguished by the usual structural robustness dear to Sigma, it is a lens with an extremely accessible cost, light and very compact. The MAF proves to be fast and precise, and is a lens capable of a decent macro function which also does not seem to suffer from flare effects. With excellent sharpness up to 200mm, it is suitable for those who want to keep costs low for a lens with great versatility capabilities, with clearly professional performance.
