Its main strength lies in the focusing which occurs via the AF motor without image stabilization. However, what strikes photographers right from the first use is the excellent photographic performance which is expressed in strong sharpness, very lively colors and a very soft and creamy blur that allows you to obtain truly unparalleled photos. Thanks to the particular alloy with which it is made, the lens appears robust and solid and to avoid excessive strain on the hand, a dedicated bracket for the tripod is also available. Smaller and lighter than its 70-200 counterpart, it however has the same aperture and maximum focal length, ensuring good dexterity and problem-free use. Although it is quite dated, it does not fear comparison with more modern lenses of which it equals performance and results but with a decidedly lower cost. Ultimately we are faced with a quality lens that allows you to take excellent and certainly not improvised photos. Therefore ideal to be used by both professional photographers and simple enthusiasts to obtain truly satisfactory results.
