The Tokina AT-X Pro 100mm f/2.8 Macro is an excellent lens to use handheld during free shooting. Compatible with FF and APS-C formats (therefore with some Canon and Nikon series), this lens launched on the market more than ten years ago is particularly appreciated by experts. The structure appears immediately solid to the touch and promises a quality that is then found inside thanks to the presence of an AF motor which, although not like the latest generation ultrasonic ones, allows for excellent focusing. the Tokina AT-X Pro 100mm f/2.8 Macro lens is not equipped with an image stabilization function, yet this aspect does not seem to penalize the sharpness of the images it manages to capture which is always perfect. The only case in which the use of a tripod is recommended is for macro shots, which may be more difficult to obtain.
