The Nikon AF-S 400 mm f/2.8 g ED VR was put on the market in August 2007. Its marketing took place simultaneously with that of other super lenses, such as the Nikon D3. It is a model equipped with a great flexibility of the zoom, so as to be able to perform professional shots even in particular contexts, such as animals in their natural habitat. At the same time it presents the best optical features of the entire category because it integrates a special technology for the reduction of vibrations and is compatible with all teleobietivoconverters. Secondly, it is good to keep in mind that this model has been periodically updated so that it can include the latest Nikon technologies. Consequently, the current version allows the stabilization of the image. The Nikon AF-S 400 mm f/2.8 g ED VR ensures a very high resolution even in the most unfavorable conditions regarding light and atmospheric conditions. Precisely for this reason the manufacturer has indicated this lens as the sport and action model. In fact, its silent wave engine with automatic focus is designed to perform shots of real -time movement subjects. Therefore it is indicated not only to take photographs of wild animals, but also to capture national and international concerts and sporting events (for example, the Super Bowl, the World Cup and the Olympics). These excellent performances are obtained thanks to the merger of two elements, the latest generation optical design and the wide opening of the lens. Consequently, it is possible to portray the subjects with a low depth of the field, maintaining maximum sharpness and enhancing the background.
