The Nikon D5100 is a feature-rich digital SLR camera that allows you to take photos and record Full HD movies of excellent quality and high resolution. It has a 3-inch (7.5 cm) high-resolution (approximately 921k dot) variable-angle LCD screen, which also opens horizontally, making it easier to use when using a tripod. The Nikon camera features a refined design, a resistant and solid structure and equipped with intuitive controls. Thanks to the Live View function it is possible to take photos in a simple and intuitive way, which can be customized through various special effects. Among the advantages of the Nikon is the HDR (High Dynamic Range) imaging mode which allows you to capture all the details of scenes with strong contrast. While the 16.2 megapixel DX format CMOS image sensor, together with the powerful EXPEED 2 processing engine and the wide range of ISO light sensitivity extendable from 100 to 6,400 which can reach the value of ISO 25,600 (Hi-2 ), offers the possibility of having images of superior quality and bright colors even in the presence of low lighting. The 11-point AF system helps to have fast and precise autofocus coverage throughout the frame. While the four AF area modes, combined with the shutter speed (up to 4 fps) allow you to keep the main subject in focus even when moving or if the scene changes, elements that make the camera ideal to use for sports photography.
