The Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG Art is a wide-angle zoom lens with a constant aperture of f/2.8. This model is characterized by a high-level and notable quality optical design, which integrates three FLD glass lenses, three SLD lenses and three aspherical elements. This is a combination designed to help minimize distortions and chromatic aberrations caused by handheld shooting and exposure in suboptimal lighting conditions. To ensure maximum sharpness and eliminate ghosting effects, a Super Multi-Layer coating has also been applied. This finish not only guarantees high levels of resistance to impacts and scratches, but even allows for accurate color fidelity and perfect contrast. The other technical specifications of this lens are: - a Hyper Sonic motor for automatic, precise and silent focusing; -a rounded 9-blade diaphragm, so that out-of-focus areas have a uniform appearance; - a minimum focus of 10.2 cm, so you can capture even subjects at very close range; - a watertight brass bayonet coupling. As a result, it is possible to use this device even in less than optimal exposure conditions.
