Pentax SMC FA 50mm f/1.4

The Pentax SMC FA 50mm f/1.4 is a classic among fast fifties, offered as a used lens guaranteed by RCE Foto. Signed Pentax, it combines compactness and optical quality, with SMC coatings that enhance contrast and micro-contrast. Loved by Pentax users for its natural rendering and versatility on full frame and APS-C, it is a reliable piece of photographic equipment, with a strong character and the well-known soft rendering at full aperture.

Equipped with a Pentax K mount and full-frame coverage, it offers a maximum aperture of f/1.4 for ambient light shooting and creamy blur. The autofocus is the classic screw-drive of Pentax bodies: responsive, with the option of precise manual focusing via the ring. The optics with SMC coatings help to contain flare and ghosting; compact construction with a solid mount. Appreciated for balanced colors and pleasant bokeh; convincing sharpness when stopping the aperture down slightly.

Ideal for portraits, street and reportage, the 50mm f/1.4 performs best with natural light and indoor events; on APS-C it offers an effective angle for tight portraits. It is a reliable choice for enthusiasts and professionals looking for a fast prime with a classic look and consistent rendering. With the RCE Foto guaranteed used you can count on thorough checks and long-term reliability, to make the most of your Pentax system.
