Mandler Leica M 35mm f/2 Black "7 elements" E39
The Leica M 35mm f/2 "7 elements" E39, designed by Walter Mandler, is an icon of street and reportage photography. This RCE Foto used lens, part of high-level photographic equipment, offers an all-metal construction, compact dimensions, and the classic pre-ASPH rendering loved by photographers. Solid and reliable, it is highly appreciated on Leica M rangefinders and, via adapter, also on modern used mirrorless cameras.
Leica M bayonet mount, manual focus with precise tab, E39 filter thread and optical design with 7 elements define a timeless project. The maximum aperture of f/2 ensures versatility in available light; the rendering is known for natural colors, Leica-typical micro-contrast and smooth bokeh, with slight vignetting wide open that adds three-dimensionality. Considered solid and with convincing flare control for a pre-ASPH.
Ideal for street, reportage, travel and environmental portraiture, it is the choice for those who want a characterful 35mm on analog and digital Leica M, and easily usable also on mirrorless systems via adapter. Sharp and even when stopping the aperture down slightly, it also wins over black-and-white enthusiasts. A classic piece of used photographic equipment selected and guaranteed by RCE Foto, for a conscious and reliable purchase.
