Panasonic's Vario-Elmarit 8-18mm Leica DG is a standard wide-angle lens with a profit equivalent to 35mm of 16.36mm. It is designed for cameras in four thirds format and shows off the prestigious name Leica. The quality of the finish is not to be questioned, the lens controls are all very fluid. The front element is collected and the lens moves both inside and outside during the zoom, however, the entire mechanism is completely enclosed inside an envelope.
