The LANTE AF 28-105mm F-3.5-4.5 D of Nikon is a very versatile and high quality article that can be used on any FX or 35mm camera. It was introduced in 1999 as an update of the 28-70mm f/3.5, often in equipment with the Nikon F100. Even today, it is possible to find this second hand at a business price and possess it, it means being able to take advantage of its low distortion FX zoom. It lends itself very well for FX and DX machines, such as the D700, D3X, the F6 and the D300S and with manual focus cameras, such as the F2AS, FE, F3 and FA and in general, with all the digital Nikon cameras, made by the 1977. With the addition of a coupling ring to that of the diaphragm, it becomes a perfect article for all Nikon F. As for compatibility problems, automatic focus must be renounced with D40, D60, D3000, D3100 and D5000, but obviously, there is no problem regarding manual focus. The optical group consists of 16 elements in 12 groups, one of which are aspherical hybrid, not in glass, but is a plastic element attached to one of the glass elements.
