Canon EF 85mm f/1.4 L IS USM
The Canon EF 85mm F1.4L IS USM is a high-end telephoto lens produced by the Japanese company since 2017. The possibility of being mounted on FF and APSC devices makes it very versatile and excellent for those who own camera bodies of both formats. Automatic focusing is present and occurs via an ultrasonic AF motor, very silent and precise. The minimum focusing distance is 85 centimeters and the shooting angle settles at 28.6 degrees. It is equipped with image stabilization which does its job extremely well and the lens hood is supplied. The images are perfectly sharp and very bright, no wonder being an F1.4, and it has no defects regarding image quality such as chromatic aberrations or distortions. The only flaw that could be listed is the weight or size, but considering the aperture and the fact that it is an L series lens it is not surprising and cannot be taken into consideration. The cost is quite high but the investment in this lens fully repays the expense as soon as you look at the captured images. The construction of the lens, like all those in the L series, is very robust and resistant to wear, with first choice and durable materials.
The Canon EF 85mm F1.4L IS USM is a lens with a price that is not accessible to everyone, it is suitable for photographers who mainly practice portrait photography. The quality of the product makes it a safe investment and worth considering.
