Sony Alpha a7R III is a full frame mirrorless camera released by the Japanese multinational since 2017. It represents an evolution of the Sony Alpha a7r II, a model produced in 2015, compared to which it introduces some fundamental innovations.
The camera in question is equipped with a hybrid autofocus that combines two detection systems: the 399-point phase detection system and the 425-point contrast system; worthy of mention is the Eye AF function, with which it is possible to activate autofocus as soon as the eye is positioned on the viewfinder. The type of sensor used by this mirrorless is CMOS Exmor R in 42.4 megapixel full frame format, which allows images to be processed quickly.
Sony Alpha a7r III presents a new mechanical shutter, precise and fast, which allows continuous shooting at up to 10 frames per second, significantly reducing vibrations; There is also the Pixel-Shift (multi-shot) mode, which acquires four shots of the same image, with the dual advantage of a reduction in noise and an increase in image definition. The camera is also equipped with a five-axis optical stabilizer which reduces shutter speed by 5.5 stops, avoiding a blurry image.
