Recensione Leica Elmarit-R 135mm f/2.8 Usato

The Leica Elmarit R 135mm f/2,8 is a lens product for the Leica R cameras of the R. Its production has covered a period of 34 years and went out of production in 1998. In Germany and Canada they were sold beyond 60,000 pieces and was the Leica brand lens among the cheapest, making an excellent purchase in terms of quality-price ratio. The Leica Elmarit R 135mm f/2.8 confirms the well -known absence of defects for 135 mm lenses, thanks to its professional characteristics and high performances, managing to satisfy all needs. The constructive quality of this lens is first -rate, built in metal and very solid, as well as rather heavy. The focus goes without friction and the ring is quite wide. The speaker is incorporated into the lens cylinder, so as not to have to bring unnecessary accessories in tow. The performance of the Leica Elmarit R 135mm f/2.8 are really excellent: very clear images, not only in the center, but also in the corners, no vignetting and a pleasant bokeh, not particularly swirling, but well balanced and that does not subtract attention from main subject. It shows an excellent contrast and the lens perfectly balance the bright and darker details, so as to save time in post production. The minimum distance for focus is 1.5 meters, a parameter that makes the field of application a little restrictive for portraiture. The Leica Elmarit R 135mm f/2.8 tends to create some chromatic aberration, but the conscious user knows how to exploit this detail to his advantage. The lens is not among the lightest, especially compared to its size and during use it makes its abundant 500 grams felt.
