Used Leica APO Telyt R 180mm f/3.4

The Leica APO Telyt R 180mm f/3.4 telephoto lens, in production for almost 25 years, is a true milestone in the field of telephoto lenses. Despite the lack of image stabilization, it was characterized by manual focus which was synonymous with excellence in the quality of the shots. The history of the birth of this lens is also unique: in fact, they were created for a military order from the US Navy which needed lenses characterized by very extensive analytical power even in full aperture conditions. The Leica brand subsequently decided to also sell it on the private market due to its exceptional performance which was also combined with great practicality and ease of handling. The quality of the construction materials is excellent, thanks to which the lens is light and resistant at the same time, a feature that allows its use in any weather condition. Thanks to its wide focal length it allows you to have objects practically at hand that are even at a considerable distance; even using the maximum aperture the details are not penalized and allow you to have a good quality shot. Even the contrast remains very good and allows you to obtain good shooting results even in less than ideal lighting conditions. Overall it was a truly excellent lens and one that stood out for its high price but commensurate with its performance.
