The Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 L IS USM lens is a telephoto lens of excellent quality and in a high price range. This is one of those cases where finding flaws turns out to be a problem. the lens is equipped with autofocus with ultrasonic AF motor, very efficient, fast and silent. Image stabilization is present as well as the lens hood. the lens has excellent durability and robustness, qualities that are always welcome. The compatibility of the lens for both FF and APSC makes it even more attractive especially for those who own camera bodies of both formats. The Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 L IS USM is very bright and the images taken have excellent sharpness, without distortions or chromatic aberrations. The weight is just over a kilo but this does not affect the practicality or comfort of using the lens. Like every L series lens, this one does not deny the quality and professionalism of the Japanese company for the production of photographic lenses. It also manages to obtain a pleasant blurred effect and, unlike other lenses with similar focal lengths, its small size makes it practical to transport.
